FunKY Accessories

This year Flavorite took on the sponsorship of a group of young business aspirants at St Paul’s School on Warragul. This was part of the Young Achievers Australia Program. Our group were very successful winning several awards for their combined efforts as a company. They also made a significant return to share holder and a major contribution to a local charity.

The two company executives, Jared McTaggart and Jared Dyson were also winner and runner up in the Deakin University Business Person on the Year. Great effort guys!

They are very quick to point out they had been extremely well supported by a very talented team. Their company’s Annual Report was an absolute credit to them and would put many existing companies’ efforts in this area to shame.

The group called themselves Funky Accessories and the YAA press release follows now.

Congratulations FunkY Accessories!

YAA would like to congratulate FunkY Accessories on an outstanding performance in 2008, resulting in the team being awarded the ACE Radio Helen Handbury Regional Secondary Company of the Year, Secondary Pam Lane Media Award and the Secondary Annual Report Award at the 2008 Victoria University YAA Student Business Awards!

Congratulations also on being short-listed as a finalist in the Secondary Best Use of Technology Award. Congratulations also to Jared McTaggart – Winner of the 2008 Deakin University Business Person of the Year and
Jared Dyson – Runner-up of the 2008 Deakin University Business Person of the Year. You are both stand out representatives for your company, sponsor and the YAA Business Skills Program™.

Special congratulations also to the mentors, who without their support and business knowledge, this experience would not have be possible!

It was great to see so much enthusiasm on the evening and the group were fantastic ambassadors for Flavorite and YAA.

We trust that you have all gained some useful business knowledge, developed your personal and business skills and have formed lasting relationships with fellow team members, mentors, sponsors and the wider community throughout this journey.

We wish you all the very best for your future endeavors, and hope to see you involved with YAA in the future.

Please keep in touch and we look forward to hearing of your successes!

Kind regards,

Personally I got a lot of enjoyment out of interacting with the boys and will consider very closely doing it again next year.
