Prosciutto and Tomato Pizza



Pizza dough

  • 500g greek yoghurt

  • 750g of self raising flour

  • A little olive oil for lightly greasing the pizza trays


  • 1 cup home made pizza sauce (made using Flavorite tomatoes)

  • 125g shaved prosciutto, cut into strips

  • 300g mozzarella cheese (ball) sliced into thin rounds

  • 2 Flavorite Truss Tomatoes thinly sliced

  • 2 cheeks of Flavorite red capsicum thinly sliced

  • 5 cup fresh basil leaves torn into pieces

  • 2 tbs fresh continental parsley chopped roughly

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C.

  2. Make the pizza dough by hand mixing the flour and yoghurt.

  3. Lightly brush the pizza trays with a little olive oil and have ready.

  4. Roll the dough into a heart shape or into rounds and bake on a flat baking tray)

  5. Place the dough on the greased pizza trays.

  6. Spread the pizza sauce thinly over the dough. Sprinkle the prosciutto, the fresh basil, parsley, sliced tomatoes and capsicum over the base.

  7. Lastly, place the mozzarella slices and season with salt and pepper.

  8. Bake pizzas in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until base is cooked and topping golden.
